We will undertake a top to bottom survey of the inside and outside of the house and check for the three main damps; rising, penetrating and condensation. In many cases the surveyors will find little or no damp, in which case it will be simple and cost effective to resolve.
Our promise is that we will inform you of exactly what damp is or is not present and then we provide an accurate estimate of what it will cost to pay a damp contractor to carry out the required works to resolve the issues.
Now armed with the correct information, you can decide whether to ask the seller to resolve before proceeding with the sale, or you could discuss a reduction in the asking price if you decide to carry out the works yourself.
As we are independent and not affiliated with any damp contractors, it isn't in our interest to diagnose any damp issues being present if there aren't any.
